Spanish artist and designer Arturo Álvarez is known for his distinctive approach to light, sculpture and material. For more than three decades, his work has explored the emotional possibilities of light, transforming unconventional materials into expressive, often organic forms that blur the boundaries between art and design.

His creations are deeply connected to craftsmanship and experimentation, with each piece shaped through a highly personal artistic process. Light is never simply functional in Álvarez’s work; it becomes part of the sculpture itself, revealing textures, creating shadows and transforming the surrounding space.

Through his sculptural installations, Álvarez explores recurring themes of human identity, nature and our relationship with the environment, creating works that invite contemplation and change depending on the viewer’s perspective. His unmistakable visual language has established him as a distinctive voice in contemporary sculptural lighting and collectible design.

Teils Skulptur, teils Lichtinstallation: Dieses Wandobjekt von Arturo Álvarez in limitierter Auflage verwandelt Metallgitter in eine ätherische menschliche Gestalt.

Jede Maske wird in aufwendiger Handarbeit geformt, wodurch trotz der fast schwerelosen Anmutung des Materials ein bemerkenswerter Eindruck von Volumen entsteht. Bei Beleuchtung dringt das Licht durch die durchscheinende Struktur und wirft einen eindrucksvollen Schatten an die Wand, wodurch das Kunstwerk über seine physische Form hinauswirkt.

Die Skulpturen wurden 2023 entworfen und in einer limitierten Auflage von 99 Exemplaren hergestellt; jede Skulptur wird exklusiv für ihren Sammler angefertigt.
